SERVICES:

Yoga Therapy emphasizes personalized, one-on-one therapeutic care. Its aim is to provide holistic support for a wide variety of life’s many challenges. Yoga Therapists are informed by the intelligence of the practice of yoga, skillfully witness and accompany clients, through life’s struggles. Instead of a systematic protocol, the emphasis is on the dynamic holistic health and agency of each unique client. Presently defined by the International Association of Yoga Therapy, “Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the philosophy and practice of Yoga”. In the first session, yoga therapy intake/co-assessment is done through generous listening, curious questioning, and observations of the client in various yoga practices. The client will have the opportunity to discuss what brought them to yoga therapy and the yoga therapist will discuss goals for forthcoming sessions. Throughout sessions, open dialogue between client and therapist occurs, allowing for what is happening in the session to be guided by client’s questions, curiosities, and needs. Modifications/suggestions for abilities are considered and taught. Throughout sessions, practices may include various forms of movement, education, breath work, meditation, yoga postures, mantra, journaling/writing, mindfulness, creative expression, mudra, and other yoga therapy practices that support the client in their healing and/or wellness. Practices may change and evolve – as the client’s needs/wants shift.

FEES:

Yoga therapy sessions are $120 for the initial 1.5 hour session and $90 per 1 hour follow up session. If you miss an appointment or do not give 24 hour notice of cancellation, the sessions will still be charged.
